The Ugly Duckling

Ah, Birkenstocks. I am too young to remember there time in the limelight in the 90's and as a child I was convinced they were shoes that only  people with walking issues or the elderly could buy but oh how times and tastes change. I have avoided giving into the so-called "ugly shoe" trend for months but now it's summer and I am starting to think of comfy shoes for my French adventure next year I can feel my resolve slipping. Seriously, by the end of the week I know I am going to buy a pair and the only thing that is reassuring me about wearing them,  besides the comfort level, is that they're not Crocs. The only question left is: black or white?
