Lagerfeld to bring stampedes to Macy's next year

Arguably the most famous designer in the world, if not by name then by his distinctive white pony tail and penchant for wearing sunglasses at all times, Karl Lagerfeld is doing a capsule collection for US department store Macy's.

The collection, which will hit 250 Macy stores and online in September 2011, is part of the retailer's new designer series through which designer's will rotate in the stores Impulse section every 2 months throughout next year.

Lagerfeld will be one of the last designer's to debut there collections for Macy's with Kinder Aggugini (a past employee of Galliano) starting in February with big name designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Calvin Klein and Versace to follow.

The collection itself will feature basics like jeans and even gowns, with Lagerfeld focusing on creating designer level quality.

This is sure to create hysteria come September and I am hoping that the online store will be open to Australia.
