Cannes, Vintage

As much as I love films, the annual Cannes Film Festival, which sees a variety of celebrities from movie stars to D-List European tabloid filler, descend upon the French seaside city of the same name for 11 days of red carpet spectaculars and booing, has only really interested me on a purely superficial level.

In my humble opinion, this is for an excellent reason. Every year the festivals unique mixture of attendees bring it in every way possible. From ultra sheer dresses to hairstyles longer than a newborn, no one at Cannes is afraid of pushing sartorial boundaries. At the same time, though, there is still something about the fashion eye candy of Cannes that is classic and forever relevant.

So, to celebrate yet another of the Cannes Film Festival here are my favourite captured moments and fashion choices of yesteryear.
