Mary Katrantzou SS 13

I'm starting to think that even if Mary Katrantzou presented a collection made completely of potato sacks I would love it. Seriously, can you imagine kaleidoscope potato sacks? Yes, they would be still be potato sacks  but they be Mary Katrantzou printed potato sacks e.g. amazing potato sacks.

Anyway enough about potato sacks and the hypothetical use of them and on to Mary's actual Spring 2013 collection.

Although I have loved and most likely will always love Katranzou's famous in your face, bright as the sun prints it is nice to see everything toned down just a notch for once. The paler shades of blue, yellow and green with a huge amount of white is not just summer like but also refreshing and paired with the much looser and streamlined cuts it creates a line that doesn't scream Mary Katrantzou but appeals to non-acid bright wearers out their.

Aside from all the print the two suited pieces, the deep blue pants and blazer set and the forest green waistcoat and black faintly printed skirt, are in my list as some of the best pieces for Spring 2013 even if they ruin that summer escape vibe for a few seconds.
