Nice day for a black wedding.

Since Queen Victoria wore a white wedding gown way back in 1840 wearing white for your wedding has not just become a colour option but something that is so cultural embedded that no one but the very brave go against it. But it seems that might change, at least for a season, as one the world's most well known bridal designers in world, Vera Wang, showcasing a collection made up of the very opposite of white: black.

With the theme of "witchcraft" Wang's Fall 2012 collection was bleak and almost Alexander McQueen like. Tight fitting or princess gowns in either complete black or with splashes of nude made up most of the show and were offset with messy hair and barely there make-up, making the collection seem like one of the darkest Brother's Grimm tales.

Personally I would be probably at least have a little black in my wedding dress but you just known that many brides are going to be asking Vera to re-create the dresses in more traditional wedding shades of cream and eggshell.
