Misfits.

This show is like my new crack. Think of it as a weird cross between Skins and shitty cancelled show Heroes. Basically its about 5 teenagers who while doing community service are struck by lightening and given special powers. This premise could be totally lame but it is actually really fucking fantastic. Like Skins Misfits is a show made by its realistic approach to things (like if you had super powers would you always use them for good? I don't think so) and its creation of memorable, but not always likable, characters. You have your comedic asshole of character in Nathan, your outcast in Simon, your typical hot party girl in Alisha (who gets the power to send men into a sexual frenzy when they touch), the future sports star who got caught with coke Curtis and your a-typical chav (or bogan) in Kelly. The mixture of these characters and the way the show is written (if not obvious before: very Skins-esque) makes even the most typical story lines interesting in a way most shows fail to do. But don't just take my word for it (I am known to enjoy cheesy TV shows sometimes *cough* vampire diaries) watch the video below and I am sure you will be searching for downloads.
