Jacques-Louis David.

I'm sick and bored and watching an art show marathon on BBC knowledge. I'm not usually an art person but its combining history and really tragic but interesting lives of the artist's. My favourite so far has been Jacques-Louis David an artist during the French Revolution who also got caught in it. I love how he did some really beautiful portraits but also some really emotional and interesting pictures of death, politics and war like The Coronation of Napoleon, The Intervention of the Sabine Women and La Mort de Marat (The Death of Marat).
