She Went Solo

Boardwalk Empire.

When I first heard about Boardwalk Empire I basically morphed into some insane fangirl of Twilhard propositions. 1: It was set in the 1920's a decade I am obsessed with, 2: It's about criminals (famous ones and that) and seriously who doesn't think, at least when they are in TV land, that criminals are hot, 3: Martin Scorsese, 4: Steve Buscemi and seriously who wouldn't like to see him in a TV show.

I was not disappointed. Deciding on the waiting till Australia gets it (it could be a year from now) I watched it online and I was impressed but everything. It felt like movie it was so epic and everything done to finest details, like a Vogue magazine, were spot on. The acting itself was good too and was kinda surprised by Micheal Pitt, who can either be a hit or miss for me.
Possibly the funniest scene:

Hey, nice talking to you.
You, too.

Jimmy Darmondy.
Al Capone
The thing that impressed me the most though was the style. The woman were a mixed bunch show you got Atlantic City showgirl to young Irish mother. The make up (which style.com discussed here http://www.style.com/beauty/beautycounter/2010/09/boardwalk-empire-the-beauty-review/#more-5272) was also fantastic and found myself wanting to chop off my hair and wear cupids bow lips.
